Sadaf Mirza was appointed to the board in January 2022. As chief economist for the Ministry of Finance, Sadaf is responsible for developing the economic forecast for the provincial government and providing strategic economic analysis and advice to senior leadership.

Sadaf has over 23 years of experience as an economist. She’s held successive leadership roles at the Ministry of Finance where she focuses on macroeconomic modelling and risk assessment along with economic analysis and forecasting. Sadaf has represented the Government of British Columbia in meetings with credit rating agencies and investors across North America and Europe. She holds a BSc (Hons) in economics and an MA in economics from the University of Victoria.
