Angie Sorrell was appointed to the board in July 2018.

Angie retired in the summer of 2024. Her previous work experience predominantly included ever-increasing roles of responsibility for the BC Treasury Board, concluding as a senior advisor to Treasury Board, before taking on the role of Representative to the Minister of Finance, where she was tasked with oversight and managing government's role with the four public sector pension plans in BC (College, Municipal, Public Service, Teachers) and the Canada Pension Plan.

Angie received the Chartered Director designation through the DeGroote School of Business at McMaster University. She also completed the Master of Trust Management Standards program through the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans and qualified for Retirement Plans Associate certification. Angie holds an MA in public administration from the University of Victoria with a focus on fiscal and economic analysis.
