Meet the Public Service Pension Board of Trustees
Emma Pullman was appointed to the board in December 2025.
Emma is Head of Shareholder Engagement and ESG at the BC General Employees’ Union (BCGEU) in the Investment and Pensions Department and has served as a trustee of the BC Target Benefit Pension Plan since 2023. She brings over a decade of experience in responsible investment and environmental, social and governance (ESG). Emma has worked with investors, trustees, boards and management on human rights due diligence, labour and Indigenous rights, artificial intelligence, and climate and environmental risk.
Her career includes roles in the BC Public Service and eight years at BCGEU supporting pension governance and member education. She has completed her Foundations of Trust Management Standards and Advanced Trust Management Standards and plans to complete her Master of Trust Management Standards in 2026. Her credentials include certificates from the International Corporate Governance Network and the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Institute, with the Canadian Securities Course in progress. She also serves on the National Union of Public and General Employees Pension Group and the Committee on Workers’ Capital steering committee.
