Barrie Lynch was appointed to the board in July 2026.

Barrie has served as a paramedic for 24 years and was formerly regional vice president with Ambulance Paramedics of British Columbia.

His qualifications include a Master of Trust Management Standards from International Foundation of Employee Benefits and Programs, Master of Leadership and Training from Royal Roads University, Bachelor of General Studies with extended minor in Criminology from Simon Fraser University, and a Certificate of Finance from Queen’s University. He has designations from the Institute of Corporate Directors, the Chartered Professional Human Resources, the Canadian Society of Association Executives and the National Association of Parliamentarians. He is also a graduate of the Labour College of Canada.

Barrie has served on many boards, including as director for E-Comm 9-1-1, national chair for Supply Chain Canada and president of BC Library Trustees Association. From 2002 to 2011 he was a Coquitlam city councillor. Barrie was also commissioned as a justice of the peace to preside over judicial interim reviews and search warrants.

Barrie received the Queen Elizabeth II Golden Jubilee Medal, King Charles III Coronation Medal and the Emergency Medical Services Exemplary Service Medal.
