Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI)

The plan is a signatory of the United Nations-supported Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI).

The Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI) leads the largest global reporting project on responsible investing.

As a PRI signatory, the Public Service Pension Plan reports on its responsible investment activities annually.

In 2021, the PRI revamped and improved its reporting program and the results are now available. The results outlined in the 2021 PRI assessment report demonstrate the plan is a leader in the responsible investment sphere.

The Public Service Pension Board of Trustees is pleased to report that the plan received four or five stars in most categories in the new 2021 transparency report. Of note, the plan outperformed peers significantly in the Investment & Stewardship Policy category, which captures the overall approach toward responsible investment, including voting.
