Angie Sorrell was appointed to the board in July 2018.

Angie is the executive director of Logistics Strategy with the Ministry of Health. Prior to her current appointment, Angie was the representative for the Government Pension Plan Partner and the Canada Pension Plan steward (the Minister of Finance). Angie started her career in government with the provincial Treasury Board staff and went on to become a senior advisor to the Treasury Board.

Angie received the Chartered Director designation through the DeGroote School of Business at McMaster University. She also completed the Master of Trust Management Standards program through the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans and qualified for Retirement Plans Associate certification. Angie holds an MA in public administration from the University of Victoria with a focus on fiscal and economic analysis.
