Tom Vincent was appointed to the board in November 2009 by the provincial government. He has worked in the area of pensions for more than 20 years and is chair of the Medical Services Commission.

Tom was a member of the Teachers' Pension Board of Trustees and, prior to joint trusteeship, was a member of the Municipal Pension Advisory Board.

He has also served as vice-president of the Public Sector Employers’ Council, an assistant deputy minister with the ministries of Advanced Education and Education, provincial co-chair of the Federal-Provincial-Territorial Assistant Deputy Ministers’ Committee on Student Financial Assistance and a member of the Irving K. Barber BC Scholarship Society as well as several employer associations. Tom has worked at Treasury Board Staff, the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Health.

He has a bachelor of arts in economics from the University of Victoria and a master of business administration from the University of British Columbia.
